Clifford A. Smith

Clifford A. Smith, 65, passed away November 9, 2008. He was born in Akron to the late Charles F. and Mary (Wilsford) and was a lifelong area resident. He worked for many years for the General Tire and Rubber Company and later, was a long-distance truck driver. He was a member of numerous clubs and organizations and was an avid fisherman, competing in many large-mouth bass tournaments. He was also known for his lively sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn, and brothers, Charles, William and Tommy. He is survived by his daughter, Christa (Colby) Chamberlain; son, Christopher (Donna); grandchildren, Casey,
Tyler, Sidny, Zoe and Seth; sister, Robey (Jim) Clerkin, of Arizona; friend, Linda; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2008, from 4 - 7 p.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305. Private burial will take place at Hillside Memorial Park at the
convenience of the family.
