Cecillia L. (Smith) Dycus

Cecillia L. (Smith) Dycus, 76, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2007.
She was born in Akron to the late William and Cecillia Houser and had worked at Noble Shoe Company, Akron General Hospital, was manager of the motel at Lake Berlin and was a technician at Little Forest Nursing Home. She was a member of the Eagles Club #555 and loved nature, especially flowers, gardening and bird watching.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harry H. Smith and John Dycus; son, David Lloyd Smith; and brother, Mike McGuire. She is survived by her son, Timothy Sr. (Linda) Smith; grandchildren, Rebecca (Chris) Dimeff, Timothy Jr. (Heather) Smith, Kathleen (Brian) Batley, and Sarah (Kevin) Regan; and 9 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at University Park Nursing Home and to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Akron City Hospital.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2007, at 11 a.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Pastor Rick Fox officiating. Inurnment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Palliative Care and Hospice Services, P.O. Box 2090 Akron, OH 44398 or to a charity of one's choice.
