Loving Memory
Chandler Thomas Kemp
Chandler Thomas Kemp passed away peacefully in the arms of his father on
September 16, 2009. My son, your mother and I held you in our arms for only
a few precious moments; we will hold you in our hearts until the end of
time...
Chandler was born at 1:21 p.m. to his parents, Thomas and Yelena Kemp, and
left us to be with his Father in heaven the same day. Chandler's family was
blessed with more than 30 minutes of his life. Chandler experienced holding
hands and being held by his mommy and daddy, hugs and kisses from his
family, listening as his mommy and daddy talked with him, and being told "I
love you" a countless number of times. He also received love from his
Grandmother Lidia and Grandfather Tom, both of whom were able to hold him,
along with aunts and uncles from the Kemp and Povlacs families.
Chandler was preceded in death and is now being held in the arms of his
grandmother, Sandra P. Kemp, and his uncle, Demetre Vodolagin. He is
survived by his parents, Thomas and Yelena Kemp, of Cuyahoga Falls; Aunt
Tabbie Kemp of Cuyahoga Falls, Aunt Debbie and Uncle Theodore Kemp of
Medina, Aunt Era and cousins Natasha and Tonya Vodolagin, of Volgograd,
Russia; his paternal grandfather, Thomas T. Kemp of Cuyahoga Falls; and
maternal grandparents, Lidia and Slava Vodolagin of Volgograd, Russia.
The family wishes to thank Children's Hospitals Palliative Care Doctors,
Nurses and Staff, Summa City Hospital Nurses and Staff, and Hospice of the
Western Reserve Child Care Unit for the amazing health and spiritual care
that Yelena and Chandler received. All of you were amazing, and we wouldn't
change a thing. May God bless you all.
Chandler will be laid to rest at a short graveside service on Thursday,
September 24, at 11 a.m., at Oakwood Cemetery, 2420 Oakwood Ave, Cuyahoga
Falls. A luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, we would be pleased to
have you support with us the following organizations to help other grieving
parents: The Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation, www.nilmdts.org, who
provided a volunteer infant bereavement photographer to record Chandler's
short life with us. They do a phenomenal job capturing the love and beauty
of life. We also are grateful to the Memorials of Angels Organization,
www.memorialsofangels.com, for the care that has been given to us and for
assisting us with the placement of a cemetery marker. And thank you to the
Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home in Akron for handling the arrangements for us.
