Denver R. Smith

Denver R. Smith, 84, passed away May 27, 2008 in Germantown, OH. Born in Harrisonburg, VA to the late Denver C. and Dairie (White), he was an Army veteran of World War II and later retired from General Tire with over 45
years of service. He was also a member of local VFW posts in Akron and Miamisburg.

Preceded in death by his wife, Geneva, he is survived by his children, Bruce Smith and Diane (Jerry) Harden; granddaughters, Rochelle, Tammy and Donielle; and great-grandchildren, Ash'Lynn, Evan, Shawn and Ayla.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2008, at 1 p.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Pastor Eloy Pacheco officiating. Calling hours will be for ONE HOUR prior to the service, from
12 - 1 p.m. Interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park, where military honors will be conducted by the Mogadore VFW Post # 8487.
