Ruth Jane Dockus

Ruth Jane Dockus, 85, went home to be with the Lord after a long illness on October 11, 2006. She was born and lived in the Akron area all her life. Mrs. Dockus retired from First National Bank after many years service as head of the bookkeeping department. She also worked for Sam's Club as a food demonstrator in her later years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel in 1989 and son, Duane in 2001. She is survived by daughters, Rebecca Dockus and Linda Wirz; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother and sister in law, Earl (Evelyn) Bond; and sister, Alice Beres.

The memorial service will be Sunday, October 15, 2006, at 3:00 p.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St. with Pastor Chris McCombs officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home for TWO HOURS prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
