Eileen Creevy

Eileen Creevy, 97, passed away on November 19, 2009.

She was born in Joliet, Illinois and spent most of her life there. She was a graduate of Joliet Township High School and retired from Kemlite. She was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church in Joliet, and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church after she relocated to Akron in 1996. She loved music, dinners out, and visiting with her friends, and remained sharp and active till the end.

She joins her husbands, Floyd Schauland and Rolland Creevy; daughter, Karen Dempsey; brother, Lee Stout; and cousin, Helen Archer. She leaves to cherish her memory her granddaughter, Jane (Kurt) Gramlich; son-in-law, Don Dempsey; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Schauland and Jean Stout; nieces, Linda Cantu and Shirl Craig; nephews, Mark Schauland, Brian Stout and Bill Stout; cousin, Sarah Archer; and her devoted friends.

Funeral services were held in Joliet on November 24, with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park II. A memorial service will take place on Monday, November 30, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1361 W. Market St.,
Akron, OH 44313, with The Rev. Mark Pruitt officiating. If desired, memorials may be made to St. Paul's.
