Esther Grace Dye

Esther Grace Dye, 90, passed away June 15, 2008, at her home after a short illness. Born in Akron, she lived all but nine years of her life in the Family Home in Ellet, until 2002, when she moved in with her sister, Martha Willis. Esther had two office jobs, working 38 years between Summit Wholesale Grocery and General Tire-Gen Corp. Miss Dye enjoyed all her working years with both companies. She was a member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church since 1968 and also a member of the Generette's Office Retirees.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Worthy and Grace Dye; sisters, Ruth and Mary Ellen; brother, Glen; and brother-in-law, Joseph E. Willis. She is survived by sister, Martha Willis; cousins, Evelyn Dye, James King, Debbie Reynolds, and Paul and Frieda Dye; special neighbor, Frances Rumbaugh; and special longtime friends, Mildred B., Vera B., Eileen K., Betty M., Evelyn S., Florence H.; and many other cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be Thursday, June 19, 2008, at 11:00 a.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Marker St with Rev. William Hostutler officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 18, from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m.
