Harry S. Fairhurst

Harry S. Fairhurst, 83, went home to be with the Lord, June 25, 2008.

Harry worked for the Goodrich Tire and Rubber Company, retiring from the Technical Processing Division after 44 years of service. He was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church for 59 years and was an usher and a vocalist for the church and loved working in the kitchen in the Louisville Convention Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mary Fairhurst; brothers, David Frank Fairhurst and Tom Fairhurst. Harry was a devoted husband and father, and is survived by his wife, Elsie; children, Jim (Janet), Tom, David, Paul (Lisa), and Martha (Kelly) Conover; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters, Betty DeMaskey and Martha (Carl) Frame; and sister-in-law, Dolores Fairhurst.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. MONDAY, June 30, at the Gospel Assembly Church, 2535 Wise Rd., Canton, OH 44720, with Pastor Rick Moore officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. Family will receive friends SUNDAY, June 29, from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home, 760 East Market Street. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gospel Assembly Church.
