Harold Robert "Bob" Simmons

Harold Robert “Bob” Simmons, 83, passed away May 16, 2008. Born in Cuyahoga Falls to the late Harry and Ada Simmons, he was a lifelong area resident where he retired from the M. O’Neil Company with over 35 years of service. He was also a long-time member and Past Master of the Coventry-Akron Masonic Lodge 83.

Preceded in death by his wife, Clara and sister, Marge Fisher, he is survived by his children, H. Robert (Ruth), Ron (Diane), Bev (Art) Boltz and Sandy; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Simmons family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Pleasant View Health Care Center for their care of Dad.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at 10 a.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Dr. Donald M. Engle officiating. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 19, from 5 – 7 p.m., where a Masonic service will be conducted by the Coventry-Akron Lodge 83 at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pleasant View Activities Fund, 401 Snyder Ave., Barberton, OH 44203.
