Helen C. Warren

Helen C. Warren, 97, passed away February 12, 2010. Born in Hodgenville, Kentucky, she lived most of her life in the Akron area. She retired as a buyer from the JC Penny Company with many years of service. Mrs. Warren was also a long-time and faithful member of the Brown Street Baptist Church.

“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Orville. She is survived by daughters, Charlotte (Warren) Richardson, Burdetta Barnes and Jo Ann Brubaker; sons, James O. Warren, Richard (Alice) Warren and David (Jacki) Warren; 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010, at 1:00 p.m., at Brown Street Baptist Church, 541 Brown St., with Rev. Steven Rebert and Rev. Robert Kuhns officiating. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the youth group at Brown Street Baptist Church, 541 Brown St., Akron, OH 44301.
