Martha L. Willis

Martha L. Willis, 93, passed away October 21, 2009. She worked a federal civil service career at Crile Veteran's Hospital in Parma for 12 years and Wade Park Veteran's Hospital in Cleveland for 14 years.

Martha was a supervisor in building management, retiring in 1978. She was also a member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church since 1943, and belonged to the Senior Singles and Evergreens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Worthy and Grace Dye; sisters, Esther, Ruth and Mary Ellen; brother, Glen; and husband, Joseph. She is survived by her step son-in-law, Ray (Rita) Yutzey; step-grandchildren, Susan (Chip) Young, Debra (Richard) Wessels, Denise (Scott) Hallett and Jeffrey (Paula) Yutzey; step great-grandchildren, Sarah, Kelly, Zachary, Benjamin, Joseph and Racheal; and step great-great grandchildren, Marcus, Isabelle and Reece.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 1 p.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Brian T. Nutt officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. Calling hours will be
for one hour prior to the service, from 12 - 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oak Hill Presbyterian Building Fund or the Oak Hill Womens Association, 2406 Ardwell Ave., Akron, OH 44312.
