Robert L. Neese

Robert L. Neese, 91, passed away December 22, 2006. Born in Crutherville, Missouri, he lived in the Akron area for the last 75 years. Mr. Neese was a US Army veteran in WWII and retired from the City of Akron Highway Maintenance Department with many years of service. Robert was also a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth, in 2002. He is survived by sons, Robert (Mary) and Ronald (Sandy) Neese; daughter, Sharon Lee; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and niece, Christine Scott.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Pastor Dan Betts officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park, where military honors will be conducted in his honor. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 26, from 6 - 8 p.m.
