Florence L. Sims

Florence L. "Flo" Sims, 80, passed away August 21, 2006 with her loving daughters by her side. Born in Latrobe, PA, she was raised in Connecticut and had been an Akron-area resident for most of her life. She retired from Rogers Manufacturing with 35 years of service, was a long-time member of the Mogadore Boat Club, and was an avid bowler for many years.

Preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Bob and sister, Mary, she is survived by her daughters, Judith A. Henaghan, June (David) Stock, Jeannie (Roger) Hoty and Vickie L. Hamilton; grandchildren, Cheryl, Robbie, Billy, Lisa and Chris; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Robbie, Brennen, Bailey, Laura and Rachel; sister-in-law, Alice McQuaid; brother, Sam Morrone; nieces and nephews, Carol, Henry, Pam, Tim and Wendy; and other loving relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at 10 a.m., at East Liberty Cemetery, 740 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., with Fr. Carl A. Ciprian officiating. Calling hours will be at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., on Friday, August 25, from 5 - 7 p.m.
