William J. “Sonny” Elio

Cuyahoga Falls. William J. “Sonny” Elio, 73, passed away on December 24, 2009.

Sonny was born in Akron on June 23, 1936 and was raised in Peninsula, Ohio. Following a term in the Army, Sonny became the independent owner/operator of William Elio Trucking and later served Medina Asphalt Company for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Elio; sister, Marian Cores; and his wife, Margaret Anne.

Sonny is survived by his sister, Lucy Clymer; his five step-children, Michael Lang, Freddie Lang, LuAnne (David) Martin, Jeffrey (Karen) Lang and Gregory (Katie) Lang. He also leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and per Sonny’s wishes, there will be no services.
