| In Loving Memory
Raymond Andrews Sr Raymond Andrews Sr., 70 , a life long resident of Peninsula passed peacefully Sunday morning May 14, 2006 after a long battle with cancer. He was a 1954 graduate of Boston High School, where Ray enjoyed playing on the basketball team and in the high school band. He became a skate guard at State 8 where he met the love of his life, Noel Karen Venarge, and settled down to start their family. He worked in the machining industry until 1965 when he joined the Teamsters Locals 24 and 407. After retiring from truck driving in 1993 from Bender & Loudon, he joined Mehler & Hagestrom Court Reporters, where for 15 years, his quick wit, directional expertise and insight brought a lot of smiles. Ray was an avid bowler, fisherman and pool player, spent decades coaching in the youth bowling program and enjoyed pool games with his family and many friends in his favorite Richfield area hot spots. He was also a member of Cuyahoga Falls Moose Lodge # 918. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Zella; long-time friend, brother-in-law, William Venarge; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Margaret and Leroy Venarge. Raymond is survived by his life long partner and friend, Noel Karen; children, Pam (Alan) Greenfield, Karen (Garr) Jones and Raymond Jr."Randy" (Lisa); grandchildren Scott, Shelly and Breanna Greenfield, Brad and Shauna Jones, and Kailee, Casey and Kayla Andrews; sister-in-law, Shonnett Venarge and family; sister-in-law, Terri - Lynn (Russell) Morris and family; and many long time friends and neighbors. The funeral service will be Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St. with Rev. Eloy Pacheco officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 17, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1900 W.
