Frederick O. "Fred" Board

Frederick O. "Fred" Board, 54, passed away Nov. 1, 2005, after a courageous six month battle with cancer. Born in Spencer, WV, he resided in the Akron area all of his life and was employed as a rubber worker at various places. More recently, Fred worked at National Machine and he was an avid Browns fan.

Preceded in death by father, Walter, he will be sadly missed by wife of 34 years, Michele "Mickey"; sons, Chris (Michaelann), Brian (Staci), Jeremy, Dustin; grandchildren, Dylan, Devyn, Logan, Konner, Baby Dustin, Daryn; mother, Frances; brothers, Denny (Kathy), Kenny; best friend, Mike (Marcia) and sons; special friend, Keith; and a host of other relatives and close friends.

The funeral service will take place Friday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Pastor Bernadine Warner officiating. Cremation will take place after the service. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service from 6 to 7 p.m. Those who wish may make donations to the family or the charity of one's choice.
