Melvin "Mel" E. Bowman Jr.

Melvin "Mel" E. Bowman Jr., 75, went to be with his Lord and savior on November 6, 2005. He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean Conflict; retired form Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 40 years and 5 month of service. and attended the Faith Bible Fellowship . He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maxine; sons, Gregory and Timothy; daughter, Beth (Madison) Morris III; grandchildren, Timothy II, Lindsay, Joshua, Lydia, Melinda, Joy, Sara, Amanda, Jessica, Ian, and Cody; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Helen O' Toole and Patricia Phillips both of Cumberland, Mad.; brother Gary of Warsaw, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St. with Pastors Charles Smith and Les Sutherland officiating. Interment at Green lawn Memorial Park where Military honors will be conducted by Firestone V.F.W. Post 3383. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
