Bettie Louise Walsh

Bettie Louise Walsh, 84, passed away March 28, 2006. She was born in Akron, Ohio on August 26, 1921 to the late Emma and John Staib. She retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. after 39 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern; brother, Stanley; sisters, Ethel (Harrison) Grimes, Fay (Ed) Smerkol; nephews, Douglas Smerkol and Karl Grimes. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Shirley (Gene) Rothlauf, Patricia (Dave) Frase, Sandra (Helmut) Trischion, Kathy Grimes, Dennis (Colleen) Smerkol, John Smerkol and Stanley (Dianna) Staib; 11 great nieces and nephews, 24 great great nieces and 7 great great great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St. with Rev. Howard D. Powell officiating. Interment at Clinton Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 2 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
