In Loving Memory

Juanita M. Collinson

Juanita M. Collinson, 76, of Cuyahoga Falls journeyed into eternity on Nov. 23, 2005, after a brief illness.

She was born in Akron Oct. 30, 1929 - a gift from God to the late Willis A. and Dora J. (nee Mullins) Garner of Decherd, TN., and Louisville, KY., respectively.

In 1949 she started a family of her own, loving and nurturing her 5 surviving children, Gary Lee (Pam) Collinson of Tallmadge, James Allen (Bonnie) Collinson of Akron, Thomas Arthur (Mary) Collinson of Phoenix, David Eugene (Nancy) Collinson of Akron, and Dixie Marie Collinson of North Canton. She was also a blessing to her 5 grandchildren, Kristen (Charles) Tissue, Jeff (Danielle Lucas) Collinson, Diana (Keith Miller) Collinson, Timothy Collinson and Jesse Burghardt. She will be missed by 4 great grandchildren, Chad, Holly, Cassidy and Jeffrey Daniel.

Although Juanita could not quote much of the Bible, her life demonstrated its main theme: "Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not envy. It does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking. It is not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." While she always expressed exactly what was on her mind, Juanita never failed to demonstrate and verbally express her love and care for her family. In her children, Juanita saw the best and chose to forget the rest. To some, she was a second Mom. She was unselfish and giving to a fault and has been called 'the perfect mother in law'. One of her favorite phrases was, 'Beauty is as beauty does'.

The funeral service for Juanita will take place Thursday, Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 5 to 8 p.m.
