Hayward Cutlip Jr

Hayward Cutlip Jr., 78 , passed away June 2, 2005. He was born in Braxton County, West Virginia on October 4, 1926. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 in 1945, and received an honorable medical discharge. He graduated from Central High in 1946, and later retired from the U.A. & Local 219 Plumbers and Pipefitters, where he was a 55-year lifetime member and was also a past president. He was a life sponsor of the Knights Templar Eye Foundation and was a member of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky, F.& A.M. Lodge 449, Plain City, Paducha, Ky and received the 55 year Gold Card. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason, belonged to the Yusef Khan Grotto, the Tadmor Temple Shriners, A.A.O.N.M.S., Akron Commandry # 25, Knights Templar, Grand Council, Royal & Select Masons of Ohio, Akron Council # 80, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Lodge Council Chapter Consistory, Valley of Akron, Shannon Council # 28, Knight Mason of Dublin, Ireland and the Province of the United States of America, and The Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio, Cuyahoga Falls Chapter # 225.

He is survived by his son, Hayward Alan (Annette) and daughter Lori (Keith) Bull; granddaughters, Alexa and Abbi Bull and Jennifer McAllister; sister, Ann (Cecil) Davis; mother of his children, Margaret P. Linn; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

The funeral service will be Monday, June 6, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Dr. Charles F. Billington and Rev. Dallas R. Billington officiating. Interment at East Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 5, from 2 to 5 p.m. where a Masonic Service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. by Adoniram Joppa Lodge # 517.
