| In Loving Memory
Pauline Jessie (Nee Sheakley) Hughes Our beloved mother, Pauline Hughes, age 84, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2005 at Heather Knoll Nursing Home after a long battle with Alzheimerís disease. She was born in Akron on April 23, 1921, the fifth of seven children to Lorna and Robert Sheakley. She graduated from East High School in 1939. As a young lady, Pauline won several awards enjoying roller skate dancing. She was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls since 1951. She retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in 1980 with 37 ‡ years service. She was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ and was active in the Weaver Parent Support Group. Pauline loved life, her family and friends. Pauline will long be remembered by family and friends for continuing the tradition of making her motherís delicious homemade potato buns. Her children will most remember her for all her love and dedication to making a loving and nurturing home and family. She is survived by her loving and admiring children, Ronald and Darlene Hughes. Proceeded in her death by her loving husband of 61 years, Charles Hughes, Tobi the familyís dog/companion/angel, and six brothers and sisters: Arthur Sheakley, Earl Sheakley, Ethel Wright, Lucille Hudkins, Aline Shilts (twin sister) and Ruth Wenhart. A very special ìThank Youî to the caring and supportive staff at Heather Knoll Nursing Home for taking such good care of our mother. last days more comfortable. The funeral service will be held _Thursday, December, 1
2005 at 1:00 p.m., at the Eckard-Baldwin Sanctuary, 760 E. Market
St., with Rev. Stephen Gehlert officiating, interment at Rose Hill
Burial Park. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, November
30, from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Donation may
