Luke Eugene McCarty

Luke Eugene McCarty, 11, picked up his wings and flew to heaven on November 21, 2005. He is survived by his grandmother, Mary McCarty, with whom he spent his life; father, Eugene (Dee); mother, Laurie Harrell; grandfather, Stanley McCarty; grandparents, Joe and Edith Hipply; half-brothers Peter and Paul Harrell; and great aunt, Agnes Bennett.

The family would like to thank the staff of 6100 at Akron Children's Hospital for their loving care of Luke, as well as the staff of Professional Nursing Services.

The funeral service will be Monday, November 28, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Jay Schmidt officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
