Claudia Pauline Icenhour (Bradley)

She came into this world on November 24, 1922 and on November 24, 2016 at the age of 94 her chariot arrived to carry her home. She celebrated her birthday and Thanksgiving at the banquet table in the very presence of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It is the promise of eternal life for those who call upon the name of Jesus to be saved that we have the assurance of being together again.

She was born in Wilkes County, NC to Clyde and Maggie (Dula) Bradley and was predeceased by her husband, Leo Gordon Icenhour, all of her siblings, and her daughter-in-law. She loved her family and is survived by her son, Charles Leo Icenhour; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Denise & Merv Yoder, Brian & Fran Icenhour, Shana DeBerte, Nick & Traci DeBerte, Clay DeBerte & Anna, Cheyenne & Luke Farmer, Cheynoa, and extended family and nieces and nephews.

She worked at the Pflueger Company, but much of her and Leo's life was spent caring for others. They enjoyed retirement traveling in their motor home with her sister, Addie, and brother-in-law, Wallace B. She worshiped at Victory Chapel and Community Christian Chapel and rededicated her life to our Savior and strived to show a reflection of Him in her daily walk.

Her last year was spent residing at Green Village Skilled Nursing where she had top quality care. She felt like she lived in a palace. She completed her purpose in life by sharing joy and happiness with all of her sweet friends there. She loved her dear precious nieces and they "loved her even more". Their devotion, attention, care and faithfulness were a priceless treasure to her life. Great will be your reward dear Becky, Judi and Jennie. Through our journey during the last year we all strived to become more Christlike; learning true unconditional love and forgiveness and that there is always an unconditional opportunity to reunite with family.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 5 - 6 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St. The funeral will immediately follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Robert Webb and Pastor James Johnson officiating. Private interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
