Danny Dale Clegg, 71, passed away into the arms of the Lord on September 10, 2017.  Born in Akron on July 16, 1946 to the late Dale and Phyllis (Parker) Clegg, he was a 1966 graduate of Springfield High School.  He was also an avid golfer, gardener and fisherman.

Danny was a good Christian man who loved his family and his Lord and he touched the lives of many. He was a member and volunteer at Edwin Shaw Challenge Golf Course, where he helped handicapped golfers.  Danny was very proud of his awards, which included First Place in his league in 2008 and 2012, twice getting a Hole-in-One, and the Todd Seitz award, which is awarded to someone disabled who overcomes their physical limitations.  

Danny was so proud of his great-niece and nephew. When they visited him at the nursing home, he would take them for a ride in his wheel chair, showing them off, especially his pretty Emma.

Survived by his brother, David Clegg; sister, Donna (Steve) Marchok; niece, Lisa Gilmore; great-niece and nephew, Emma and Jaxson; and many dear friends and family.

Private family services have been held.
