Frances I. Jones, 92, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Altercare of Hartville Center. She was born in Gassaway, Braxton County, WV on December 18, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Orville and Flora Ann (McMorrow) Gross. Frances worked at Ohio Bell Telephone and as a Riveter at the Goodyear Hangar during World War II. She married Jack A. Jones in October 1946 and they were together 56 years until his passing in January 2002. Survivors include her daughter, Jacklyn (J.C.) Jones; sister in-law, Wanda (Richard) Thompson, of Virginia; 2 step-grandsons; 5 step great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; brother, Robert and sister, Olene. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St. from 10 to 11 a.m. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m., with Rev. Laurie Metzko officiating. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A special thanks to the staff at Altercare of Hartville Center for the loving care they provided to Frances during the past six and a half years.
