Jeffrey P. Borovitz, 57 passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2017.  Born in Akron to the late Sam and Elizabeth Borovitz, he attended Simon Perkins school and worked for the Akron YMCA, and was Maintenance Supervisor at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Akron.  Jeff also contributed to the Cleveland Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael; and niece, Megan.  He will be sadly missed by his wife, Vicky; sisters, Karen (Kevin) Coyne, Cindy (Joe) Testa, brother, Patrick (Suzanne), and many loving nieces and nephews.

We will remember Jeff as funny, loving, caring and intelligent.  Jeff used the lessons he learned in life to teach others what is really meaningful, his advice was straightforward and we are thankful for it.  He faced his disease and his suffering with grace and a sense of humor.  It’s not about what you do in life, it’s about who you are; and Jeff became the man of the finest character.

A memorial ceremony will be held Friday, April 7th at 2:00 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St. Akron, OH 44305., with Rev. Ron Shultz officiating. Friends may call for one hour prior to the ceremony from 1 to 2 at the funeral home.
