I had the honor of working with Kevin for a number of years. Throughout that time, I greatly respected his professional work, but also came to know him as a friend. I was thinking of him this Thanksgiving while I made a turkey with seasoning purchased from Penzey's during a fabulous tour by Kevin as we explore Cleveland. He had a true passion for exploring the world around him, both near and far, and it was inspiring to be with him.

I am so sad to hear about his passing and am thinking of his family during this time of mourning. Sending condolences and warm thoughts from Oregon.

My deepest condolences to Jim and Kevin's family. Kevin was a brilliant, compassionate person and professional I had the honor to work with over the past 15 yrs. We shared many fun times together in our professional travels and also support in the tough times of life. Words can't adequately express my sense of loss and sympathy for his family and Jim. He holds a special place in my heart.

I had the great honour of calling Kevin my friend; I called Kevin my twitter & street photography soul mate. We "met" on twitter several years ago, and we quickly picked up an online friendship via twitter, which ultimately led to a real friendship when my hubby Pascal & I were in Ohio for Vintage motorcycle races in July 2015, and we arranged to meet up with Kevin & Jim for breakfast at the Westside Market followed by a street photography "photo shoot" and walkabout. Instant friendship between the four of us, Pascal & Jim walking together a little ahead of Kevin & I who were busy taking street photography photos together.

Kevin & I maintained a regular pen pal and photo relationship on twitter, making arrangements to meet again in July 2016 the next time Pascal & I found ourselves back in Ohio for vintage motorcycle races. This time, Kevin & Jim met Pascal & I in Mansfield OH for a lovely meal and a subsequent walkabout and "photo shoot", with such lovely photo memories of our time spent together. Plans were again underway to maybe meet up again this July in OH, or possibly even in Montreal...

I am shattered that I will not be seeing Kevin again, or his photos or #sixwords play in my twitter feed, or his messages in my twitter DM. Pascal and I are gutted for Jim, who loves Kevin so much, and who Kevin loved so, and for his sisters and nieces and nephews and family who have lost a warm and wonderful brother and uncle, who loved you all so much.

One minute, one hour, one day at a time, dear Jim & family. Kevin is still with us in every photo, in every memory we have of him. We are all devastated that he was taken away from us too soon. Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Jim and to Kevin's family whom he loved all so much, and to his colleagues and friends. Kevin will be sorely missed by us all.

Love from your Canadian friends, always,
Dianne & Pascal Laheurte
