Mae Palmer, 95, passed away November 14, 2016. She was born in Akron to the late Eugene and Edith (Warner) Edgerly and was a lifelong resident.
Mae worked for many years at First Merit bank, retired from Copley Schools where she was affectionately known as the “lunch lady”, and was a long-time member of Wedgewood United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace and brother, Clark. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (John) Leonard and Cynthia (Rick) Steiner; grandchildren, Nancy (Terry) Vought, John (Tammy) Connell, Michael (Christina) Oliver and Kelly (Harold) Miller; great-grandchildren, Ally, Jack, Noah and Carly; and sisters, Esther (Robert) Ryan and Ruth Darling.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home, 760 E. Market St. The funeral service will be on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Wedgewood United Methodist Church, 2350 Wedgewood Drive with Pastor Joe Burkhardt officiating.
