Michael J. Durbin, 74, passed away November 9, 2016 in Coshocton. Born in Akron to Vincent and Alberta (Thompson) Durbin, he resided in Barberton for many years before relocating to Coshocton in 2015 to be near his family. Mike worked as a prep cook at the Carousel Dinner Theater, participated in volunteering for several organizations and greatly enjoyed sports, particularly the Indians, Browns and Steelers.
Preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Millie (nee Phillips) in 2014 and brothers, Jim and Bob, he will be sadly missed by sister, Hazel (Larry) McCormick of Coshocton; special niece, Luanne (Eric) Pirogowicz of Akron; several brothers and sisters in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call Tuesday, November 15th at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St., from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Legge officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. At Mike’s request, memorial donations may be made to Summit County Children’s Home, 264 S. Arlington St., Akron 44306.
