Sara “Ellen” Davidson, 87, passed away March 2, 2017.  Born at Mt. Morris Pennsylvania to the late Henry and Laura (Mills) Duesenberry, she lived most of her life in Akron.  She retired from Buckingham Law office after 26 years in accounting, and also worked at First Merit Bank and Walgreen’s Drug store.  A faithful member of Celebration Church, Ellen had been a member since 1950.

She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, Clarence “Gene”; sons, Randall and Michael; five brothers and three sisters.  Ellen is survived by her foster-daughter, Alfreda (Fred) Shipp; grandsons, Matthew and Nathan; great-grandchildren, Paxton and Calvin; and daughter-in-law, Dora.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 1 to 3 pm at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market Street Akron OH 44305.  The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 6 at 1:00 p.m. at the Celebration Church, 688 Dan Street, with Rev. Michael Mancari officiating.  Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
