Terry lost his 14 year battle to ALS on April 25, 2017.  He faced this ugly disease with grace, determination, and total faith, while inspiring everyone who knew him to never give up. He was born on August 16, 1950 in Barberton, Ohio to the late Norman and Colleen “Pat” (Ferrell), he was a graduate of Norton High School and Kent State University.  He also served in the US Army and Army Reserve 447th Military Police Company. Prior to his illness, he was a member of the VFW#3532, American Legion Post #449 and the Norton FOPA where he held several positions, including President.  He loved fishing and playing golf.  One of his lifelong dreams came true when he played St. Andrews Old Course. He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy (Klinginsmith) Sickels; son, Chris (Erika); brother, Ron (Denise); sister, Janene Housley (Don); and several grandchildren, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Special Thanks to Jennifer Martin, Dr. Issam Nemeh, Dr. Jon Tosino, The Dr’s, Nurses and Staff at the Wade Park VA Spinal Cord Unit and the Hospice Team from Crossroads for all of your devotion, love and support. The funeral service will be Monday, May 1, 2017 at 12 noon at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel 760 E. Market St. with Chris Thompson officiating.  The family will receive friends Sunday, April 30th from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service on Monday from 11 – 12.  Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery where military honors will take place.
