Audra C. Pratt, 75, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2024. Born in Gassaway, WV, to the late John and Joanne (Cogar) Armstrong, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Michael and Patrick.
Audra's life was marked by compassion, dedication, and unwavering love. As an office manager in a private doctor’s practice and later at Summa Health Systems, she was known for her warmth and efficiency. Her passion for reading fostered a home filled with stories and an appreciation for education. An avid golfer and bowler, she relished the camaraderie and competition, embodying a spirited and active lifestyle.
Audra is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Ronald and two sons, Tracy (Cheryl) and Kevin (Deanna). She filled their lives with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her love knew no bounds, especially when it came to her grandchildren, Kelley (Preston), Benjamin (Brittany), Emily (Tim), and Lauren, whom she adored and treasured every moment with. A supportive presence, Audra never missed a game or special event with her family, always offering encouragement and pride. She is also survived by sister Lisa; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; and cousins, all of whom she loved dearly, and sister Joan and brother Daniel.
The Pratt family wishes to express our profound gratitude to the nurses, aides and hospice workers who have been with us and our mother, Audra C. Pratt, over the last seven months, and especially in her final days. Your unwavering dedication, compassion, and exceptional care not only comforted Audra but also brought immense solace to our family during these challenging times. You treated her with the kindness, love, and respect one would show a member of their own family, deeply touching our hearts. We are forever thankful for the dignity and comfort you ensured for her until the end. Thank you for being an integral part of her journey and ours.
Audra’s legacy of love, family unity, and appreciation for life’s simple joys will be remembered and missed by her family and everyone she touched. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Pastor Joe Burkhardt officiating.
