Ralph D. Smart Sr

Ralph D. Smart Sr., 90, passed away July 29, 2005. Born in Carbondale, OH, he was an Army veteran of World War II, taught in the Akron Public Schools system, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Barberton.

Preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine, he is survived by sons, Ralph Jr. (Judy Kay), Royce (Cynthia) and Tim (Margaret); and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Pastor Eloy Pacheco officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 4, from 6 ñ 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1815 W.
