Charles W. "Chick" Stewart

Charles W. "Chick" Stewart, 85, passed away Nov. 24, 2005, at his residence. Born in Akron, he was a lifelong resident and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. with over 47 years of service. At Goodyear Chick was bestowed the Engineering Squadron honor of winning the P. W. Litchfield Award. He belonged to the Goodyear Heights United Methodist Church, Yusef Khan Grotto and the Boy Scouts, where he was an Eagle Scout. For over 50 years he was a member of Victory Lodge 649 F. & A. M.

Chick will be sadly missed by wife of 62 years, Audrey; sons, Charles W. (Beverly), George M. (Lynette), David H. (Janice), Bruce D. (Sandy); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The funeral service will take place Monday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m. at Goodyear Heights United Methodist Church, 1690 Hillside Terrace, with Rev. Lorry Mabiala officiating. A Masonic Service will precede the funeral service. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday for one hour prior to service time from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice, 3358 Ridgewood Rd, Akron, OH., 44333.
