Luther "Bruce" White

Luther "Bruce" White, 59, passed away unexpectedly December 5, 2005. Born in Melbourne, FL, he was a Navy veteran of Vietnam and had been a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Lake Jackson, TX. He retired from the FAA with 35 years of service in a career that allowed him to reside in Oklahoma City, San Antonio and Houston. He loved motorcycles, the Miami Dolphins and especially, his grandchildren. He was a loving and happy man who had a way of always making those around him feel better, and was the type who would do anything for anyone. He will be sadly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Preceded in death by his father, Luther and nephew, Danny Bruce, he is survived by his mother, Frances; children, Michael, Kathy Sweeney, Jeffrey (Donna ) and Deby Pearson; grandchildren, Trey Sweeney, Bryan and Colby Bruce; sister, Doris; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2005, at 11 a.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Ken Christoffersen officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service, from 10 - 11 a.m.
