| In Loving Memory
Wendell A. Scott Wendell A. Scott, 89, passed away Oct. 20, 2005, at Akron City Hospital. Born in Huntington, WV, he was a resident of Akron since 1922 and graduated from Akron Univ. after many years of attending night school. Wendell was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, where he received a Bronze Star for meritorius service. He served 32 years in the Army Reserves, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer. He retired from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co with 45 years of service, working as a Production Manager in the hose room. An avid model train and plane collector, he was a wonderful family man who will be missed by all. Preceded in death by wife, Marie, he is survived by daugther, Carol Zink, he will be sadly missed by grandchildren, Tonya (Al) Santos, Thomas (Marisa) Zink, Sandra (Bill) Coon, Elizabeth King, Casey (Kevin) Byrnes; 9 great grandchildren; cousin, Rosemary Evans. The funeral service will take place Sunday, Oct. 23 at 4p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Harry B. VanFleet officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P. O.
