Harold E. "Wick" Wykoff

Harold E. "Wick" Wykoff, 87, passed away May 4, 2005, at Hospice Care Center. Born in Akron, he resided here his entire life and was an Army Veteran. Wick retired from the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. with 40 years of service and he belonged to the German-American Club.

Preceded in death by four siblings, he will be sadly missed by, wife of 66 years, Freda; son, Clyde (Hertha); daughter, Bonnie (Frank) Bodis; granddaughters, Patty (Bart) Bischoff, Kathy Smith; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will take place Monday, May 9, at 1 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 East Market Street, with Rev. Perry S. Elkins officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service time on Monday from 12 to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 1900 West Market Street, Akron, OH., 44313.
