Carl F. Mainarick, 80, passed away September 26, 2017. Born in Akron to Richard and Catherine (Nagley) Mainarick, he resided in the Akron area most of his life and retired from the McNeil Corporation. Carl proudly served in the United States Air Force as well as the United States Army. His memberships included the Firestone VFW Post #449, Fraternal Order of Eagles #555 and South Akron Orioles 167. He enjoyed gambling, playing the lottery, fishing with his buddies and spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by son, Carl, Jr.; and brothers, Richard and Kenneth, he will be sadly missed by loving daughter, Kimmy Ann (Jimmy) Harrison; grandchildren, Andrew (Holly), Nick and Brianna; great grandson, Holden; ‘adopted’ daughter, Diane Nestor; best friend, Sonny; many nieces, nephews and friends who loved him.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place on Thursday, October 5th at 1:30 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Carl’s name to the family.
