Rest in Peace Dave. I'll always remember the laughs we had as kids. Prayers for Family.

Only knew Dave a short while, but what I knew of him, he was a great guy! He worked with me @ Autopart Int'l as a driver, and him and I would talk briefly as we we're always on the road delivering. He was a gentle man, caring, and great helper. He knew of my disorder and would never use it to his advantage, always providing a good word, and help when I needed assistance! I will miss him and was shocked to hear of his death; but when I heard of how it happened, a "good samaritan" of others needs, that didn't shock me at all. He was a true man of valor....here's to you Dave and your loved ones. Rest assure this man is going to see Jesus! I'll see you again bro and thanks for the phone advice. Love ya man! Jim Rest in Peace

To the Dzatko family,
So sorry for your loss in such an unexpected circumstance. I worked with David at Summit County Children Services and found him to be such a kind and generous person. If anyone was in need, he always had time to go the extra step to help. He will be sadly missed. With extreme sympathy.

David, I know that you are at peace now with Dad, Grandma L, Uncle Bobby, Samantha and so many more. But we all miss you and you should have been here with us for so much longer. I love you,
Your little sister.

I don't have any connection with your family, but I felt so touched by the story in the BJ. I'm so sorry that this tragedy happened to your family. Some people say those we lose are in a better place. But, that doesn't help with the hole in your heart. So, I say God bless you and know in your heart that David died the way he lived--an honorable man.

Rosemary, I am so sad for your loss. Your nephew tried to thwart a robbery and gave his life. That says much about his overwhelming need to help his friends. He is a true hero. God Bless
