Susan K. (Mills) Harris

Susan K. Harris, 70, went to be with her Lord on June 27, 2018. She was born in Amarillo, TX to the late Billy and Maxine (Jones) Mills, was an Akron-area resident since 1968 and was a member of the Rootstown United Methodist Church.

Sue enjoyed crafts, jewelry making, gardening and volunteering at local food banks. She was a godly woman who was devoted to her family her entire life, and she will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bradley. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Chester; daughters, Tracy (Russell) Bowman, Shannon (Wayne) and Jodi (Kevin) Stephenson; grandchildren, Russ Jr., Hope, Teresa, Michael, Joey and Rebecca; siblings, Billy (Roxanne), Judy (Connie), Allan (Debbie) and Mike (Joan); and many other loving relatives and friends.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305. The funeral service will immediately follow calling hours at 4 p.m with Pastor Don Richards officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Rootstown United Methodist Church, 4065 State Rte 44, Rootstown, OH 44272 or to your local food bank.
