Thomas Timothy Bennett "Ben" Brinley

Thomas Timothy Bennett "Ben" Brinley, 43, went home to be with his heavenly father on Sunday May 27, 2018. He was finally reunited with the rest of the family that went before him. Ben was welcomed with those long awaited hugs from his mom and dad that he had missed so very much.

He was born June 7, 1974 and lived most of his life in the Akron area. He graduated from Firestone High School in 1992 and started working for SS Tire when he was 17. He worked on all kinds of tires, even earth mover tires. He was previously employed by Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Center, Ziegler Tire and Akron Auto & Truck Tire Center. He also enjoyed handyman work, especially working side by side with Uncle Phillip. He really loved owning and operating his lawn care business for the past three years.

Ben was the type of guy who would do anything for anyone. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was loving, kind, caring, helpful, funny, and yes ornery! When he loved, he loved with his whole heart! If you were lucky enough to be loved by Ben, you know he loved you with ALL his heart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas R. Brinley and mother, Joan R. Carter; and grandparents, Clarence and Mary Brinley, Walt Carter, and Sally “Storm” Wolfe.  He is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Christian) and granddaughter, Layla; son, Dylan (Lisa) and grandson Eli; wife, Darlene Brinley of Alabama; sisters, Christine (Donald) Williams, and their children, DJ, Amanda, and Sami, Sally Brinley (Curtis), and their children Charmaine, Cheyenne, Nic and Curtis Jr., and sister, Marla; and a very special friend, Kay; and step-fathers, Richard Lopez and Robert Bachtel.  He also leaves behind to cherish his memory several step-sisters, step-brothers, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

We are all going to miss your wonderful smile. RIP Ben, we’re going to miss you until we meet again!

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home for Ben's final expenses.

A celebration of life to be held Friday June 8, 2018 at Community Gospel Tabernacle Church 181 E. State Street Barberton, OH 44320 at 6:30 pm.  Officiating will be Reverend Teresa Pierce and honoring him in song, Amaria’ Renee Norman.
