Alma Robinson, 82, went home to be with the Lord on December 13, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a true survivor until the very end.
She was born in Akron on June 22, 1928 to the late John R. and Myrtle (Wasson) Hood. Alma was a beautician for many years and attended Grace Baptist Church.
She also loved to travel and listen to gospel music and was always praying for and uplifting others. She especially loved being with her family, who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Robert; brother, John; and sisters, Edith and Edwinna. She is survived by her daughters, Robin (Jim) Reich, of Tallmadge and Becky (Bobby) Nunn, of Florida; son, Jim, of Ravenna; grandchildren, Krista and Mike Reich; and brother, Carl (Miriam) Hood whom the children especially thank for all the love and support they gave.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 704 N. Firestone Blvd, with Rev. Willie Smith officiating. Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 16, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St.
