Amelia Badonsky

Amelia (Faggos) Badonsky, 97, passed away May 5, 2024 in her home in Oceanside, CA. She was born in Akron, OH to the late Andrew and Katherine (Cesnak) Faggos. Amelia was a graduate of Akron Garfield High School and the University of Akron. She was a long-time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church (Wilbeth Rd.) where she worked as the church secretary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John; sister, Helen Sartoris; son-in-law, Dan Auber; and her sister-in-law and friend, Olga Fisher. She is survived by her children, Debbie (Anne), Joan, Jim (Kathy) and Tim; her favorite dog, Monty; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305.
