Anne (Polhemus) Hornish

February 2, 1939 — November 10, 2012

Anne Hornish, 73, passed away November 10, 2012. She was born in Cleveland to the late Willis and Evelyn (Wight) Polhemus and was an Akron resident most of her life. She earned a Bachelors Degree in elementary education from Kent State University and was a teacher at Thomastown Elementary and Portage Lakes Cooperative Pre-School. She was also an active member of Family of Faith Church for over 20 years.

Anne belonged to the Federation of Women’s Club, the International Institute, the Keenagers and the Red Hat Society. She also loved traveling, having visited over 35 countries world-wide.

Preceded in death by her husband, Donald, she is survived by her sons, Kevin, Colin (Christi), Keith and Craig; grandchildren, Cory, Sara, Colin, Logan and Emerson; and many close friends.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place.
