Audrey I (Headley) (Norman) Murray

April 29, 1915 — July 8, 2011

Audrey I. (Norman) Murray, 96, passed away July 8, 2011. Born in Spencer, WV to the late Blaine and Eva (Malson) Headley, she was an Akron-area resident for much of her life before retiring to Homosassa Springs, FL for over 30 years. She was the former owner of Norman’s Service Station, the Tallmadge Motel and the Flamingo Motel in Atwater. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Airport Post 8975.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Lee Norman and William Murray; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters. She is survived by her children, Don (Gayle), Dan (Diana), Sylvia (Jack) Utley and Philip D.; 9 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.

The family would like to express their special thanks to the staff of Pebble Creek and the staff of Barberton Hospice for their wonderful care of our mother.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2011, at 11 a.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Robert Patterson officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 10, from 1 – 3 p.m.
