Barbara Jean Marshall (Green), 81, passed away December 23, 2012. She was born in Richwood, WV to the late Chriss and Reba (Landrum) Cottrell and had been an Akron resident for 56 years.
Barbara dedicated her life to her family and to her Lord. She earned a ministry license and enjoyed visiting nursing homes to pray with the sick and the elderly, and to spread the word of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Forrest Marshall and Donald Green. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Ellen (Aubrey) Beckner and Jo Ann Marshall; brother, Ronald (Mary Jo) Cottrell; children, Pamela Curry, Lori Corbin, Dana (April) Marshall and Van (Patty) Marshall; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Larry Baldridge officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 26, from 5 – 7 p.m.
