Barbara A. Wirth, 89, passed away December 26, 2015. She was born in Akron to the late Tom and Fary (Baxter) Fisher, was a 1944 graduate of Central High School and lived for many years in Hartville.
Barbara was an active member of Christian Life Center in Kent and had worked as an assistant aid at Happy Days School. She was instrumental in getting special education classes started in the Brimfield Schools and she was a member of the GMC Great Lakers. She had lived in King George, VA since 2011 and worked 2 days a week at the Episcopal Thrift shop until she passed. She made many friends there. She loved her cats, motor homing, and crafting with her friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Don and her cherished son, Tom. She is survived by her daughter with whom she spent her last few years, Kathy (Philip) Lehman, of King George, VA; grandchildren, Tammy (Lehman) Riggins and Matthew Lehman; great-grandson Cole Riggins; and nieces, Judy (Douglas) Dotts and Carol (Harold) Kinzer.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, December 31, 2015 from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St. Burial will follow at Hartville Mt. Peace Cemetery.
