Barbara Jean Singleton (Morris), 63, went home to be with the Lord September 15, 2013. She was born December 13, 1949 in Barberton and resided in Portage Lakes. Barbara was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt. We love you forever and will miss you dearly until we meet again.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie L Singleton Sr.; son, Franklin P. Shreve; and parents, Frank and Helen. She is survived by her loving children, Charles (Angie), Annette, Karen, Kimberly, Bill (Kathy) and Steve; siblings, Linda (Bob), Paul (Doris) and Becky; grandchildren, Daniel, Mandi, Brian, Magen, Sean, Brandon, Shayna, Erika, Johanna, Robert, Bryce, and her last grandchild Destiny Jean Singleton, aka her Angel; as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends, especially Grandpa Kyle, her Cleveland Indians Buddy. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Coventry Fire Department and Summa Akron City Hospital.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 4 – 7 pm at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home, 760 E. Market St. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 11 am, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations please be made to the Barbara Singleton Memorial Fund at any local First Merit branch.
