Barbara J. Tomlinson

Barbara J. Tomlinson, 95, passed away March 12, 2022. She was born in Terre Haute, IN to the late Raymond and Clara (Meadows) Hays and moved to Ohio as a child, where she was a former member of Springfield Baptist Church.

Barbara was always so kind and caring and was a friend to everyone. She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Bentley, Richard Graber and Hubert Tomlinson, and daughter, Donna Nelson. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Rice; grandchildren, Gib (Heather) Rice, Amy (Brian) Tyla and Julie (Gary) Gardecki; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Rice, Zoey Tyla, Gilbert, Gavin and Griffin Rice, and Maddy and Samantha Gardecki; and many step-children and step-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to offer many thanks to her caregivers at Mulberry Gardens, the Gardens of Cuyahoga Falls and Akron City Hospital Summa Hospice.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Research Hospital.
