Berl F. Smith, 82, passed away July 24, 2017. He was born in Buckhannon, WV and was a veteran of the US Army.
Berl was a member of the Teamsters Local 348 and had worked at Kohn Distributors and the F.W. Albrecht Acme Warehouse. He loved fishing and gardening as well as spending time with his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his wife, Marlene; mother, Leafa; and brother, Virgil, he is survived by his children, Brenda, Berl Jr. “Charlie” and Lynda Hall; and grandchildren, Gary, Tyler, Brandon, Evan and Myra.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St. with Pastor Joseph Burkhardt officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service, from 9 – 10 a.m. Interment with military honors provided by Copley VFW Post 473 will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406.
